SHORTHAND STUDIOS

Privacy Policy

Effective September 2, 2026

The Subway Takes Dashboard (the "Tool") is a reporting tool operated by Shorthand Studios at subwaytakes.shorthand.studio for the Subway Takes team and Shorthand Studios staff. It reports on the performance of the SubwayTakes YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Instagram account. Access is limited to invited people.

YouTube API Services

The Tool uses YouTube API Services. By using the Tool you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What we collect when you sign in

The Tool uses Google sign-in. When you sign in, Google shares your email address with the Tool. It is used for two things: confirming that it is on the access list, and keeping you signed in. It is held in a session cookie in your browser and is not written to any database, not shared with anyone, and not used for any other purpose. The Tool sets that one cookie and no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Channel and account data the Tool accesses

With the authorization of the channel's manager, the Tool retrieves data about the SubwayTakes channel from YouTube API Services: first party analytics (views, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources, subscriber activity), public video details, public comments, and still frames sampled from videos for visual analysis. Videos are never downloaded or stored. With the authorization of the Page owner, the Tool retrieves follower counts and post performance for the SubwayTakes Facebook Page and Instagram account from Meta's Graph API.

How that data is used and shared

The data is stored as daily snapshots and assembled into reports. To write the analysis, report inputs (metrics, comment excerpts, sampled frames) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which under its commercial terms does not train models on this data. Frame sampling runs through Apify's platform. The Tool is hosted on Railway. Data is never sold and never shared beyond these processors.

Storage and deletion

Snapshots, reports and comment analyses are stored on the Tool's private database so pages load without re-querying the APIs. To request deletion of any stored data, contact the address below and it will be honored within 7 calendar days.

Revoking access

You can revoke the Tool's access to your Google account at any time in your Google security settings. Signing out clears the session cookie, which is the only place your email is held.
